Founded in 2004, as the Columbia College Cycling Association, now known as C4Cyling, sees as its mission the promotion of cycling at Columbia College Chicago.   The organization is self-funded.

The Association seeks:

To educate riders to the challenges of biking in an urban environment, including, cycling safety and bike maintenance.

To elevate environmental awareness and aid in campus sustainability efforts, through promoting cycling as an alternative means of transportation.

To advocate for cyclists issues such as parking and commuting needs at the Columbia campus and in the South Loop environs.

To promote physical fitness and the health benefits of cycling.

To provide assistance and expertise to local organizations in cycling-related events.

To encourage members of the Columbia College community to explore the joys of short and long distance cycling in group rides.

To provide a relaxed environment where novice and experienced cyclist can come together.
